Rare Cocobolo Burl

 Cocobolo Burl is extremely rare and considered one of the rarest in the world. It is certainly the rarest I have ever had the pleasure to work with. 

 Cocobolo is an exotic wood that grows along a narrow strip along the Pacific coast from Mexico to Costa Rica. Do to it's slow growth, past heavy exploitation and limited supply it is considered rare.

 Burls are rare to find on any species and to find one on an already rare species makes them extremely rare. 

This pen was made from an exceptionally figured piece of Cocobolo Burl. The figure, the eyes and color are incredible. It just doesn't get any better. It was carefully turned by me and finished with a hard durable finish and polished to a flawless high gloss finish. 

The pen hardware is of the highest quality and finished with jewelry grade Rhodium with Black Titanium accents. Rhodium is a rare precious metal that is extremely durable and has a very high luster.

The pen comes with a Schmidt 5888 ink cartridge for a very smooth writing experience. Refills are readily available at office supply stores or online. You can also use Schneider, Beaufort or any standard rollerball refill.
