6" Walnut Salt and Peppermill Set

 This set of hand turned Walnut salt and pepper mills is as functional as they are beautiful. Every set starts out as a solid piece of carefully selected wood. It is then carefully cut apart to separate the top from the body ensuring the grain flows uninterrupted from the top to the bottom. I then precisely machine the inside of the body and top to accept the grinding mechanisms. Once all the machining is completed I then join the top and body together and place on the lathe and turn to the final shape. I then spray each one with a durable finish and then wax and buff for a soft and smooth feel. 

  All grinding mechanisms are professional grade and made here in the USA. The pepper grinder is stainless steel and can be adjusted from a very fine grind to a corse grind. The salt grinder is ceramic since salt can be corrosive to metal over time. The shaft and drive plate has a special coating to protect them. The salt grind is preset and cannot be adjusted. The finials are engraved with a P and S for easy identification.
